Info about our name "CrazyMates".
Just recently, one of our users said the community is great, all he wants to do is change it`s name.

I asked why and he said because of the expression "crazy".

I could understand very well why he thought that way at first, but since most of our team comes from Germany and English is only our second language, we understand some translations a little differently.
We interpret the word "crazy" rather positively. Like "what a crazy party" (great party), or "Wow this guy is such a crazy gamer" or "wow that's so crazy good". So we often interpret the word crazy as "cool" or "awesome".

Because this community is mainly concerned with the hobbies and interests of our users, it was my idea to call it CrazyMates - from this point of view, people are simply crazy according to or about their hobby or an interest. In no case should it be meant negatively, like "crazy = insane" - but rather "crazy = cool".

Thank you for your interest and see you soon.

Andy :)
